"The Bell Witch" The Bell Witch is, by far, the best documented ghost in history. Beginning in the early 1800's, the witch tormented the Bell family with noises, shaking furniture, hideous cackles in the night,...and even murder. Future President Andrew Jackson witnessed the power of the witch, when his wagon was literally held to the ground, and two strong teams of horses could not budge it,..until the witch decided she'd had her fun and released it to travel on. As late as 1935, the Bell Witch was still making her prescence felt among members of the Bell family... ...some say she is still there today.
